Melanie Jackson

 I am so excited to be a part of the DeSoto Central Team 😊  This will be my Fourth year at DeSoto Central High School and I am so excited to continue to be a part of the Jaguar Traditions!!  I am a graduate of Ole Miss where I majored in Psychology with a minor in German.  While at Ole Miss, I was Captain of the Ole Miss Rebelettes Dance Team and a member of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  After graduating from Ole Miss, I went to Arkansas State University, where I received a Master Degree of Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science.  While at Arkansas State, I was the Interim Program Coordinator in the Psychology and Counseling Department and I taught Psychology at the Graduate and undergraduate levels.  I have worked with Varsity Spirit with the Universal Cheerleaders Association where I have traveled nationally and internationally teaching and judging cheerleaders and dancers from around the world!  This year, I will be teaching Dual Credit Psychology and AP Psychology and working with the AMAZING Nationally Ranked DeSoto Central High School Cheerleaders! 😊
