Teacher Bio
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Keith Chalk. We welcomed our son, Wyatt, into the world on December 2, 2019.
We both attended DeSoto Central as students and graduated in 2010. DeSoto Central High School is my home. I loved attending this school as a student, but as a teacher, I love it even more. I am very blessed to be able to teach alongside such wonderful people.
I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi, in Elementary Education, with certifications in K-6 general education, K-12 mild/moderate disabilities, 7-12 Social Studies, and 7-12 English. I also have an endorsement for SREB Literacy Ready Curriculum and Essentials to College Literacy. In January 2019, I became an ACT Certified Educator.
Prior to being a high school teacher, I was a MDO teacher for children/students, ages 2-4, for 3 years. I am very excited to educate my new group of seniors and send them off into the real world!
